On the route

Career down the cobbles and pound the pavé, with this delightful route around London. It's the closest thing to the cobbled classics the capital can offer.

The route starts on the cobblestones outside the Royal Chelsea Hospital, and finishes at the Old Royal Naval College - both architected by Christopher Wren. Between the two is a maze of backstreet dashes and cobbled adventures around zone 1. From the quaint mews of the west to the industrial dockyards of the east, you'll see London and its historic cobbles in a whole new way.

We'd recommend doing this route when the traffic is lighter, just so you don't feel like you need to fight your way through the busier sections. Being so central there are limitless options for stopping, but we've picked out a few of our favourites.
